That's pretty. :) I think the backround looks great as it is, adds to the darkness.

I like the background, it doesn't draw your attention and lets you look at the character :B.
May I suggest something? Don't draw the full line from the top of the head to the muzzle. I think it'd look better if you drew from the muzzle to somewhere in the middle of the head :B.

Looks great! Shading is nice and her pose is vigilant and springy!

My suggestion for the b/c is that you could add some brighter stars and moon on the sky so it would separate better from water.
It also looks like there is some light coming to the character and a rock so because of that moon would be natural add for light source.
